In 1986, Gary W. Ross, founder of Viper Boats Inc., had an idea to build a high quality, durable boat. He brought with him 10 years of experience from working with two major boat companies with strong philosophies in the boat market. He went on to incorporate that same philosophy into his boats which led to the success of this company. Our models incorporate the true Carolina flare which help to give a smooth, soft ride through rough waters. This is where we adapted our saying "Carolina Built For Carolina Waters."

In that same year Viper Boats, Inc. launched it's first model, which was a 17ft. center console. It was so well recieved from local fishermen, that it became apparent that Viper Boats, Inc. was getting a good, strong reputation for it's product.
Then in 1993, Viper Boats, Inc. introduced the 21ft. center console. That became a success for the commercial and sport fishermen, and still is today. This model, with it's wide flared bow and classic lines are very pleasing to the eye. This model provides the most spacious cockpit than any other 21ft. center console boat on the market today.

Then in 2002 came the long sought after 21ft. King Viper Pilothouse Cabin. With it's huge interior space inside the cabin, it truly deserves it's title of being called "King Viper." Without sacrificing space, it still leaves 9 1/2ft. of cockpit space outside of the pilothouse for fishing for those big ones. When inclement weather arises, there is plenty of room in the cabin for everyone on board to stay dry. It's now becoming our top selling model and is only the beginning of bigger things to come.
